The Making of 'Living Doll'

This video is like a DVD Extra for my 'Living Doll' video, it has behind the scenes footage and tutorials. You get the meet the scary doll herself and also the 'other' scary doll that had to be written out of the final video.

I got the idea for 'Living Doll' from an episode of the Twilight Zone by the very same name. You can watch the whole Twilight episode here:

This video will show you how I acheived the mirror effect and the walking doll effect. I also do a quick five minute tutorial going over how I made it appear as though I was trapped in a doll house.

My brother sent me the scary dolls, he made them for a halloween party. He specifically set one on fire to give it that scary burnt look. The doll that didn't make the video looks very scary too!
The shots of the doll collection and the doll house were done in a toy museum in the Cotswolds. They kindly let me in for free after they'd closed to film the scenes I wanted.

I made this video for Little Rich's Halloween contest and my video won 1st prize, which was a brand new laptop.

how did you do the bit with the fire

@OhHiItsSam When she comes out the fireplace? Ok, I had a piece of string on the handle, I pulled the string to pull the handle up and open and then masked out the string. I had another piece of string on the dolls arm, I pulled it to pull her out and again masked the string and cut the 2 scenes together.

There was no stop motion in any scene.
