@lrh1966 I am always delighted to hear anything by Webster Booth - a very great, yet often under-rated tenor.

Thank you for listening to this vintage Victor 78 record...Friends, Lloyd.

Not bad??! It was WONDERFUL!!! Right on par with John McCormack.

Now this is real interesting; the Handelian tenor singing John McCormack's signature piece. Not bad at all.

Webster recorded many excellent 'cover-versions' of songs associated with other singers.
While he had a big following in the UK, I am surprised to find this was released in the US by Victor: one would think Americans were only interested in McCormack in this of all songs.

I was surprised to find this 78 in as good condition that it is in, and if I find more of his 78's, I will get them posted. Thank you for checking it out...Friends, Lloyd.

It was lovely to hear this recording. I have it on CD but somehow there is more warmth in this 78rpm recording.

This 78 is in very good shape for it's age, and sometimes the CD makers add fake echo or other sound effects to old records, and it doesn't always make it better!! Thank you for checking it out...Friends, Lloyd.
