dude,im 10 years old,i went water skiing 4 times before could go out side the wake and 1 handed,this sport is ezer then it looks,try it.

this is a very helpful video. I've been skiing for years and have taught numerous people how to ski and i have to explain this to them nearly every time someone gets skis on for the first time. There are times where rolling isn't easy for them in which case I have found that telling them to "try to stand on the bottom of the lake/river" is also fairly easy. Relaxing is the biggest thing though. when the rope gets tight and they start to lean slightly one way they flap all over. Just relax.
