@TheHrodWulf This is true, though if the author were able to "master" this recording, that is, manipulate EQ and maximize the volume etc, this would go some way to avoiding this problem. It does take some skill getting a bass to sound good on most speakers - I've learned this the hard way. But the answer is basically "mastering"

@deathcharge811 U may wish so =]

@deathcharge811 I appreciate this ;-) But there's one notable exception I've found. And that is when it comes to tasteful & skilful improvisation, creativity & feel. Depending on your style, find me a Steve Vai, Cannonball Adderley, Victor Wooten or anything of the sort from outside the West and I'd be very interested.
When you mass-produce musicians, you get precision and straight roads but the crooked roads are the ones I like the best.

I made a bass guitar Nyan Cat version that uses some octaves (not so many) and slaps the buggery out of it - it's called 'Nyan Cat Slapdown'
I put lead guitars on the melody & spiced up the arrangement - I've submitted it as a video response
-
You shoud add another track of you playing the melody.

any song with a bass tab with 100% octaves needs no skill to master the song
