Foster kitten tearing up the office

Gigi, the kitten featured in the banner photos and the video comes from a colony of cats in Fitchburg. We didn't expect to take her home; she was supposed to go back to the colony after we had her spayed. That's because we thought she was feral. But she wasn't, despite the fact that she was born outside and was already about 12 weeks old.

Shelter Me Inc succeeded in finding a great home for Gigi on January 8, 2011.

What surprises us about the Fitchburg cats and kittens is that they seem to be lot friendlier than we might expect outdoor strays to be. That is a credit to the family who has been feeding them; these cats are not that afraid of people. Gigi was just bursting with a desire to sit in someone's lap all day. How feral is that?
