Mystic Tan

This is not popular thing to say, but when a person comes in and asks me should they tan in the sun or should they tan in a tanning bed, I tell them it's the difference between asking me should they smoke one pack a day or five packs a day. In either case I'm going to say don't smoke. When you ring to attaining bed with the contents longwave ultraviolet light, you are exposing yourself to five times the DNA damage, in general, that you normally would get if you just laid out in the sun, which in itself is DNA damage. All you have to do is look at people my age and older who have been subjected to chronic sun exposure and compare our facial skin on skin to areas that are covered and you can see very easily what the sun does; we all know that. @speechless00 yeah its called skin bleaching or skin lighteners. unfortunantly they have been in the news recently for containing dangerously high levels of mercury so be sure to research before using one.

@JazzyTenorSax72 mystic tan last between 4 and ten days depending on if you use tan extender and exfoliate in the shower before you come tan. just follow all directions and it will last you a long time

they sell some skin brightener from the clarins line in macy's. it's about 40+ dollars.

It ends up looking pretty nice (not orange), but it does fade faster than a real tan. If you take good care of it it will last about a week. If you just leave it alone maybe 3-4 days. The idea is that you should go at least once a week to maintain it. So basically it ends up more costly than regular tanning b/c of the frequency, but at least you'll have nice looking, cancer-free skin later in life.
