  • Isnt the D90 disappointing it only allows you 3, -2 +2 and 0. Fore nice HDR images 5, 7 or even 9 images can be interesting for your bracketing.

  • Interesting comment worth some thought. Until you brought it up, I never gave it much thought, but you are right. There are newer model cameras that can give you more flexibility with bracketing. Is it possible you can sell your D90 and get one of those?

  • How do i get the DVDs in UK?

  • You can order at elitevideo com website and we ship to the uk

  • ok, it is not complicated at all...one question, when you shoot the three shots, do you need to be depressing the bkt button for each shot? or does it mean that since you used the bkt button and set your parameters then the next three ( if you chose three) shots will be bracketed even if you let go of the bkt button? thanks.

  • You should be able to just do in tone. Let me know if this is not that case, But I'm pretty sure once will do it.

  • Or, instead of using bracketing why just not shoot in RAW and use something like adobe lightroom afterwards to change exposure !!!!!!!

  • what do you mean when you say that one can choose 2frames plus and minus 2frames? It makes no sense. The amount of frames should be positive, not negative...

  • thanks for explaining. :-)

  • @jonvideo sure one can always sell the camera and get for example the D300 which gives you 9 steps of bracketing but then you should consider: The camera loses a lot of the value in the moment you have bought it and then want to sell it.

For HDR also RAW shooting might be interesting because it gives you naturally more colour depth.

  • Awesome tutorial! well explained without overwhelming the viewer!

  • Thank you sooo much for this video. For the longest time, I didn't understand bracketing. Even in my photo class, it went in one ear and out the other.

  • I hope I can explain. Number of Frames is a +ve number; however Exposure Compensation could be -ve, +ve or 0. if you select Bracketing as 2F with EC -2.0, and take couple of shots, you will get images with EC values 0EV and -2EV. There will not be any image with +2EV. Similar explanation for 2F and EC +2EV. if you want Underexposed, Neutral and Overexposed Image then number of Frames to 3F and whatever EC you desire. I hope it makes sense

  • lol cheers I'm at uni and this helps more than reading a manual :P

  • I dont understand what the -2 and 2 are doing. I get that 3 takes 3 frames but what do those other numbers do?

  • @jonvideo hey jon! dont feel bad about it at all, this is nothing compared to what major companies do these days to get their money, so their CEO's can get the extra cash and buy their spoiled kids the lambo they didnt deserve and work their ass off for.. your videos are great! keep up the work!
