The Faces with I'D RATHER GO BLIND, Something told me it was over when I saw you and him talking Something deep down in my soul said "Cry boy" when I saw you and him out walking I would rather, I would rather go blind girl than to see you walk away from me child So you see I love you so much I don want to see you leave me baby most of all I just don't I just don't want to be free I was just, I was just sitting here thinking of your kiss and your warm embrace child When the reflection in the glass that I had held to my lips now baby revealed the tears I had on my face I would rather, I would rather be blind child than to see you walk away from me Baby, baby, baby I would rather go blind than to see you walk away from me

  • You should have at least 1 million hits on this clip. Fantastic! Not Etta but damn close.

  • What a song... What a man!

  • Led Zeppelin should have also covered this song too..Wow, imagine that..

  • @calwaite I agree. It's as if they can mimic the sound but can't nail the gestures. Jagger always looked like a bit of a put-on although he's said to have learned from Tina Turner. I want to have a time machine to go back and tell Rod two things: 1) Don't quit the Faces. You're artistry will nosedive afterward. and 2) if you want to sell this song, stop slinging your mic stand around and playing with your floppy hat. This is deep stuff Rod, take it seriously.

  • RIP Etta James

  • Great vocals, but his stage movements (like almost all the British rock/pop/alleged soul acts) are ridiculously lame, as they always have been. Can't watch, but sure can listen!

  • he's a great singer! soul singer! blues man! funky!

  • By the way, it´s Keith on the left wearing a polka-dot scarf, (1:50)Ron in red pants

  • He´s feeling it!...

  • I saw Rod do this in 74 at the age of 14. Today my heart is broken my girl has left mefor ayounger guy. This song has so much meaning now I just wanted to say thanks for the posting. It doesn"t help the pain but it sure adresses it very well!

  • Its slightly out of key all the way through

    Really not Etta

  • Ron Wood, but did later go with R. Stones
