Doctor: Okay Joe, we're going to take some blood now. Did you eat anything this morning?
Joe: My persistent girlfriend made sure I didn't.
Doctor: That's good. You're lucky, if you didn't listen to her, you would have to come back next month for me to do this.
Joe: Yeah, I am pretty lucky.
Doctor: *sanitizes the area in his arm* So tell me about this girlfriend. Is she a serious one?
Joe: Definitely. I'm going to propose soon.
Doctor: *ties an elastic around his arm* Well, that's wonderful! I wish you luck, young man.
Joe: Thank you.
Doctor: I'm going to start taking blood now. I advise you to look the other way.
Joe: *looks away from the needle*
Doctor: *puts the needle in his arm and starts taking blood*
(with Miley)
Miley: *cell phone rings* *picks up* Hello?
Emily: Hey Miley!
Miley: Hi Em. What's up?
Emily: Me and David just wanted to see how Joe was doing.
Miley: Aw, that's so sweet! He's just getting his tests done now.
Emily: Call me back when he's done, okay?
Miley: Okay. Thanks for calling! Bye!
Emily: You're welcome. Bye! *hangs up*
Miley: *cell phone rings again* *picks up* Hello?
Selena: Hey Miles! How's Joe doing?
Miley: He's doing good, just getting some tests now.
Selena: You want me to stay on the phone with you?
Miley: Yeah, I'd appreciate that.
Selena: He'll be okay, it's just a checkup.
Miley: I know. But you know me, always worrying.
Selena: *laughs* True.
(with Joe)
Doctor: Okay Joe, you start running....now.
Joe: *runs on the treadmill*
Doctor: *keeping track of his heartbeat* So when are you thinking about proposing?
Joe: I thought maybe when we get home from vacation, that would be a nice surprise. I really hope she says yes. I'm really in love with her.
Doctor: *checking the charts* Whoa!
Joe: What?
Doctor: When you were talking about your girlfriend, your heartbeat quickened.
Joe: Really?
Doctor: Yes! *looks at more charts and turns down the treadmill* You can stop running now.
Joe: *nods and stops*
Doctor: Have you done anything stressful during the past few days?
Joe: No.
Doctor: Okay, well as soon as the Nurse helps you with walking, you'll be good to go! I'll wheel you to room 233. *wheels him to room 233*
(with Miley)
Miley: *sees Joe* I'll talk to you when I get back, okay?
Selena: Okay! Bye Miles!
Miley: Bye. *hangs up* Hey! How is he?
Doctor: Everything seems fine. The nurse should be coming in now to help him with walking again.
Miley: Thank you, doctor.
Doctor: *nods and leaves*
Miley: *goes over to Joe and kisses him* What tests did he do?
Joe: He took some blood, made me run on a treadmill, checked my heart rate, stuff like that.
Nurse: *enters* Hi, I'm the Nurse. I'm going to help you with walking.
Joe: Hi, I'm Joe and that's Miley.
Miley: *waves*
Nurse: *smiles at her and helps Joe stand up* I want you to walk to that wall.
Joe: *walks to the wall, with some trouble*
Nurse: Jump up and down, but lightly*
Joe: *jumps up and down lightly*
Nurse: Try walking again now.
Joe: *walks to her with ease*
Nurse: Alright, you seem good with walking now. I'm going to give you a pair of crutches to use back when you're home, if you need them. *hands him the crutches* You can now leave.
Joe: Okay, thank you. *holds Miley's hand and they leave with the crutches*
(The Next Day)
Joe: *packing*
Miley: I can't believe tomorrow is our last day here. I'm going to miss it.
Joe: I'm not.
Miley: Why not?
Joe: I get shot, my girlfriend gets beaten, I find out I'm an uncle, I have to use a wheelchair, and I almost lost you.
Miley: Well, you didn't lose me. *kisses him* I know it wasn't a good trip for you, and I'm sorry.
Joe: It's fine. *packs up more and zips his suitcase shut* Well, since we have nothing else to do for today, want to go out to dinner with Selena and Nick?
Miley: Sure! Can we invite Demi and Cody too? I would invite Emily and David, but they already have plans.
Joe: Yeah. I'll call Nick and you can call Demi.
Miley: *calls Demi*
Demi: *picks up* Hello?
Miley: Hey Demi!
Demi: Oh hey Miles! What's up?
Miley: Do you and Cody want to go out to dinner with me, Joe, Selena, and Nick?
Demi: We would love to!
Miley: Awesome! See you at 7?
Demi: You know it! We'll meet you in the lobby.
Miley: Kay! Bye.
Demi: Bye. *hangs up*
Miley: They said yes.
Joe: *hangs up his cell* And so did Selena and Nick.
Miley: This gonna be great!
(with Vanessa)
Vanessa: *feeding Lila*
Kevin: *knocks on the door*
Vanessa:*answers it* Oh hey Kevin!
Kevin: I want to be a father to Lila.
Vanessa: *shocked*
