The reason m16 and m4 carbines explode is the fact that they use direct gas impingement systems which jet hot gases into the receiver which then reacts with the water causing it to explode. The g36's short stroke piston system uses burnt gases to operate the bolt. Which doesn't react with the water in the gun. It also reduces stress and wear on parts.

i was talking with one of my friends about the g36 being plastic and one of my other friends said would'nt it melt lol what a dumbass of course the internals are metal lol

Yep, its the German "Flecktarn", standard for the Bundeswehr. Derived from the Waffen-SS camo in ww2.
