Hi did you get Frankie DNA tested to determine his gender? I had a Brown Headed Parrot for 8 months and I made the good choice to name it Kiwi. I was convinced it was a she until I got "her" tested and then it became a little boy. Did you always think Frankie was a boy or did you give him a girl's name then have to change it?
P.S: My bird and I did not develop a loving bond so i gave him to bird rescuer. He probably lives with her now and the last time I saw him he was much calmer.

oooh sounds just like my darn caique... he looks me right in the eye and then does something naughty. Usually rips at the carpet or bites something. Ha ha. I fell in love with a black wing Jardine's at a bird fair and it was all I could do to walk away!

how beautiful! I have a bunch of fids... African grey, caique, cockatoo, and a bunch of conures. Is your Jardine's relatively quiet? Rumor has it that they're somewhat low-noise level, but I wanted to know if yours is.

Well, he is quiet when he is happy. If he wants attention, he will scream and not give up. He will test you from time to time, knowingly be bad and laugh about it. But a little time out will put him in his place, and he will be all happy and cute when he's sorry... :)
