Gov. Mike Huckabee called A+ Absorbent "pretty amazing" when he saw the effectiveness A+ during a demonstration by Bill Whiteside on his show "Huckabee" on FOX News Channel

Special Thanks to Gov. Mike Huckabee and FoxNEWS

Gov. Mike Huckabee, Joining me is Bill Whiteside with a-plus absorbent.
Our product is an organic, biodegradable Carex reed sedge peat base."
Gov. Mike Huckabee, "This is all natural product made of the various elements that we have around us."
With his simulated oil spill ready, Bill Whiteside dips a white feather into oil that has not been treated with the absorbent. "See, here is what happens. Just when you have oil, of course." The feather is coated in oil.
Huckabee comments, "This is going to soak up the oil."
Whiteside says, "Right, it's quick. One of the advantages of our product is that it also tends to suck up benzene, hydrocarbons, and explosive vapors."
00:08:46 Mike Huckabee adds, "This is not going to hurt the wildlife. It will take the toxic stuff out of the water and out of the oil."
Whiteside, "Right, it makes the environment safe on the open water and the bird comes in and it's been sitting there in the oil a little while, so, okay, maybe he doesn't want to be there anymore, not a good place."
If the bird is coated in oil, it will have trouble flying, but if the oil is absorbed... "he flies away. That's the idea."
"It hasn't been on there very long, but I have another feather here."
Huckabee asks, "John, tell me as you are watching this, one feather got soaked with oil," as Whiteside dips a feather through the absorbent. "This doesn't look hardly touched at all. That is impressive."
"You can save so many animals, so many creatures in the environment," Whiteside speaks from experience, having seen the destruction after the Exxon Valdez oil spill.
Huckabee draws everyones attention to the feathers, "look at the difference between the feathers. This was one dipped in the oil. This is one without the oil. It's pretty amazing! And so, Bill, this product, how much of the product do you have available you could offer on the gulf coast?"
Whiteside explains, "We have 1.4 million tons... Tons of proven reserves."
Huckabee continues, "John, this looks to me like this is an all hands on deck moment, where we're seeing a lot of different products... But doesn't this make sense that we would bring everyone's idea to the gulf coast and deal with this? Maybe there is not one thing that is the magic bullet but a lot of different bullets all of which have their own level of magic. I think what we are seeing here is a super example of american ingenuity. If we turn things over to people who have the experience and the knowledge and capability, they can solve the problem.
He has a million tons of this ready to go."

Nobody can do everything; the question is, "Can we produce large quantities?" Yes, we have 1,400,000 tons of proven reseve material + additional reserves...possibly enough to capture 11,000,000 barrels and more of oil. The latest government estimates say 2,100,000 gallons of oil leaked as of June 10 2010. That is about 38,000 barrels of oil. We have the potential to absorb about 300 times what has leaked already. The oil is taken in through capillaries into the cell structure. A+ can be made in many different sizes up to dog bone size. Smaller sizes (like 1/4 to 1/2 inch) capture faster than larger sizes because of surface to volume ratios. This size can easily be captured in a mesh 1/4 inch mesh screen.

A+ is approved to be buried in a landfill after absorbing oil, but you can burn it for power or heat. It is a renewed product. A+ not captured will break down oil by microbial action over time, (degrading the hydrocarbons into carbon dioxide, water and other harmless by-products. Microbes actually use the hydrocarbons as an energy source for cell building and reproductive purposes,) while continuing to hold the residual oil until it is all digested, finally breaking down into soil over the years. Oil is organic but not habitat friendly. A+ is organic and become rich soil. A+ begins to protect fish, fowl, reptiles, and mammals from contamination by oil upon application. It's very fast on light to heavy oils, like 85/140 gear oil. Soon you will see a demo where on a national broadcast A+ is applied to oil on water, then a white feather is put in the A+ and oil and comes out clean. This shows how A+ protects habitat, fish, fowl mammals from oil when applied. Dispersants can be more deadly to corral than the oil itself. A+ encapsulates the oil protecting habitat.
