its not cowardly. its called sacrificing everthing for the ones he loves

this is the best ending!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Twinsnakecoatl No, this is the ending where he decides to end his life to allow the ones he loved to have a better life.

His mother has another husband and a happy life, Lenny has a brilliant life and Kayleigh - after a much better life, is happily married.

Even Tommy ends up as a better person.

This is not a cowardly ending, this is the honourable ending and an ending that is one of the most selfless acts I have ever seen in a film.

For that, it makes this film.

when i was little, i watch the butterfly effect i saw this ending. Then later in the year i saw this ending and i was like did i watch something else.

out of all four endings, i like the happy one.
haha.

Tragic endings are so much better than mushy warm happy endings.

Its an alright saddening ending but I think I prefer the other one

oh and so travelling back in time reading old diary notes is realistic? lol

but its just a movie, so whatever.
