Scene from the Doctor Who story, "Battlefield" starring Sylvester McCoy & Sophie Aldred. A great scene with the Doctor digging crap out of his massive pockets.

  • references are just a little thank you to fans for watching the show in years gone by, I wasn't even born when Liz was a companion but it takes no time to search for a few clips and know who she was.

  • @mdtalley no christipher eccelston used it way before captain jack was seen

  • @mdtalley no it didnt it started in the 2nd episode, when the dr wasn't invited to that meeting thing and he showed the alien the paper and said im the dr and this is rose tyler my +1

  • @BossRoss999 No, of course it isn't, silly.

  • @misterplatypus96 Yes it was never seen in the classic series

  • I don't get it when ppl diss the show for refernces like this they do no harm,

in the words of the man himself.

    "refernces are cool"

  • i really don't get why ppl rag ont he show when it references past continuity like this. So what if only fans are gonna get it if i wans't a fan it would just be a funny moment, it dos no harm.

In the words of the man himself

"i reference now. refernces are cool"

  • @misterplatypus96 Yes and no. It started with Captain Jack using it on the Doctor.

  • When did they get psychic paper? Did it start with Christopher Eccelston?
