I was never much of a Brittany Murphy fan, but I think this last performance is very touching; in fact, the acting in general is better than usually found in this kind of straight-to-video-ish movie. But the whole thing makes no sense; the bad guys could've gotten her to give them what they wanted by just holding a gun on her; the whole pretend love affair, hospital visit, missing boyfriend plan is totally unnecessary and in fact just makes the crime riskier and less likely to succeed!
