After the death of her Pa, Julie Gage continues on with the wagon train to California. However, Major Adams isn't too pleased with a single lady handling a wagon across the prairie. So, he tries to match her up with several of the eligible young men on the train . . . with hilarious results. Miss Julie is very independent and is not ready to be courted. That is, until something happens along the journey that might just change her mind.

This features real-life couple Anne Jeffereys and Robert Sterling, who were famous for their roles as Marion and George Kerby in the TV show "Topper".
