  • Help required please. Electric guitar - M-Audio Fast track - USB iMac - Garageband. My signal shows on the Fast track led and as a clean signal through headphones on the fast track but I cannot hear it through my iMac speakers or on Garageband.

  • @Darryld1 Watch my video called "Troubleshooting Garageband - Why don't you hear anything "

  • mayb some one can help when i have my audiobox usb connected i keep getting like a hiss randomly?...and when im recording and want to stop the notes from ringing i get a hiss aswell? what do i do to stop the nasty hiss :O

  • @zombiegreencard Try a different USB cable, and if that doesn't do it try a different XLR cable.

  • its still not working. when i click on electric guitar nothing comes up on the left, and neither does the Amp? Im using two versions os garage band, 3, and 5.0

  • @mrmytime2shine ok 2 things. You have an old version of GB that doesn't have the amps. However to the sound out of both sides, change your input to MONO 1 and all should work.

  • @GaragebandandBeyond thanks for replying. I figured it out but it doesn't seem a very intuitive way of getting what I want. thanks for replying. :)

  • I configured an external amp using a audiobox interface into garage band so that I can use the amps affects and hear them through headphones. When I configure the setup I can't get Garageband to receive the sound track.

  • pause at 0:21

  • @GaragebandandBeyond thanks :) ill try the usb that connects the "audiobox usb" into the laptop first, but i looked at the xlr cables umm whats that suppose to connect to...sorry if thats a dumb question i just got garage band and want to record guitar :) and since your like pro you can help a noob

  • Great videos. Just figuring GB out as my son has asked Santa for a guitar for Xmas. Once you have set GB up with your guitar do you then use the "Line out to an ordinary Amp" or are you using headphones / internal speakers. Thanks once again Sigy

  • which amplifyer is better for recording acoustic sound? (electro-acoustic, still plugged in like an electric guitar)
