From Miss Morgan's 1960 album "Down South". "Down South" and "Up North" were released at the same time in August 1960. Both feature backing by the Ray Ellis Orchestra and were featured as Billboard Picks of the Week. The following info is paraphrased from the Billboard review "The centennial of the Civil War occured in April of 1961 and may have inspired the albums as many of the songs are about places above and below the Mason-Dixon line." Enjoy!
