DO NOT WATCH IF YOU DONT WANT SPOILERS FOR THE HANNIBAL NOVEL.

I decided to redo the ending of the movie Hannibal, as I didnt like the fact that the Good Doctor and his lovely lady didnt get together (and that the former chopped his hand off with a cleaver!)

And please excuse the three clips near the end where there are black bars. I was very tired when I made this.

Footage: Silence Of The Lambs, Hannibal, Hannibal Rising, and that one clip with the hypnosis thing from Nightmare On Elm St. 3

Pairing: Hannibal/Clarice

Song: Closer, by Burn Season

Editor/Software used: Me/Sony Vegas 7 pro

Okay, it starts off with Starling saving Lecter from the wild boars, and Lecter saving Starling after she gets shot twice by a dartgun (on in her shoulder, the other in the bone of her shin, just in case you were curious). He begins to hypnotize her to turn her into a zombie-like version of his deceased sister, Mischa. He even pretends to be her father in a hallucination while shes crying.

One day at dinner [with Paul Krendler as the main course :o)], Starling watches him curiously in her hypnotic state as he performs a lobotomy on her former coworker, taking out his front lobe, cooking it, and feeding it to him (Oh, go read the novel if you want some gore. Theres disembowelment, lobotomies, throats getting slit, etc.).

Starling and Lecter have a little confrontation in the kitchen, and she turns out to be fully awakened from the hypnosis. They kiss, and end up lovers (in the novel she opens her dress, but alas: there is no such scene in the movie). Three years later, at an opera in Argentina, they see Barney, and he leaves them alone, because they were both absolutely lethal at the time. And, just for the hell of it, Ill add:

We can only learn so much and live.

Hope you enjoyed. Comment, rate, etc.

PS: This didn't turn out the way I wanted it to, so I might remake it. Hooray!!! hehehe :o)

  • The film ending does kinda annoy me, but it was kinda a bad model for kids- kill who u like, ull get the girl anyway :P PLus i think most cinema goers just wouldn't get it...

But in response to them both being lethal, i seem to remember and interview where the writer said Starling supressed his cannibalistic urges... or i may have made it up, it was so long ago i've probably mixed it with something else...

  • @ginagirl123123 Thomas Harris, the author of the Lecter series, didn't really have many reviews. I absolutely adore this pairing, though, and kids should definitely not be watching Lecter! lol. Thanks for the comment, though. :]

  • i love it! i had an idea with song with these two. would u allow me o make it a response to ur vid?

  • @goldiechik93 off course! why wouldn't i? Yours will probably be better than mine anyway :o)

  • I soo confused what happon??

  • i love this video it depicts what happened in the novel. In the novel hannibal makes off with clarice and then that stupid guy and feeds his brains to clarice who finds it delicious and they make off together as lovers, 3 years later barney and his gf go to see a play and he sees clarice & hannibal together and leaves quickly with his gf. i think they should have made that the movie ending.

  • @MotherGothelFan01 I temporarily froze my computer by spamming the like button on this comment.

  • @ginagirl123123 lol why would kids watch this movie? this movie is rated R right? don't give a fuck about kids if it's a rated R movie

  • @codename617 I quite liked the movie ending. You still got the feeling the villian treated the hero better than tose she trusted. And I suoose that was the point with any version of Hannibal. When you begin to justify Hannibal's way of life.

  • @stufaman hated that ending. After Mason gets killed and they eat Krendler's brains, the ending was uniquely aweful. The book is just amazing. Frightening, insightful, globe-trotting and exciting with what i see as a ridiculous ending.

  • while reading the book, i was expecting for an ending where Starling was going to get killed by Lector. But the ending I read was so aweful. Original, I'll give Mr. Harris that, but I didn't like how he bassically kinda destroyed the cahracter. I would've settled with killng her off. I'd like to see Thomas Harris write a sequel in which Will Graham, who lives alone after his wife's death finds an amnesiac Starling and Lector returns to his old ways while seeking WIll and they face off.

  • LOVE the beginning , good evening;)

  • Oh, so in this ending, the story actually winds up getting somewhere. The main thing that bugged me about the film ending was that it was largely just the same setup as when it started, albeit minus a hand.

  • In the book he does cop off with Starling. And she gets as bad as him.
