After a lead in from President Bush, Tony Blair NAILS why the war against terror is so necessary. The video is almost 6 minutes long, but this is the best explaination of why the free world must stay the course that I have ever seen.
@bugzak47 You are so fucking stupid. Seriously. Please tell me WHAT NATURAL RESOURCES we have taken from Iraq!? ZERO! Were now OUT of that Country and we took NO OIL!
Stop trying to use that as an excuse! There was some BAD intelligence that said WITHOUT A DOUBT that Iraq had WMD... And they very likely DID but we didn't get there quick enough before they shipped them off to Syria! That is why we went to war! Not OIL.
@TheDarkFrontier Its not difficult at all with technology being what it is to have reserves prepared for riots. The truth about police officers and teachers is that they are tools in the hands of politicians. They use 'cuts' as examples of futility when often the futility is to be over funding inept systems. Think of how much you pay in taxes for education and protection. Imagine having all of that money back and funding your own education and being responsible largely for your own protection.
It's far easier said than done to just "bring in army reserves". Though during the riots in London, the Police were beset with difficulties because of the politicians, such as using water cannons, tear gas and baton rounds. If they'd have used them to begin with, the riots wouldn't have gone on for as long as they did.
@TheDarkFrontier That's just a matter of inefficiency. Bring the officers in from the suburbs or the army reserves who aren't doing shit. I wouldn't justify keeping high numbers of officers b/c the electorate wants to be disorderly and throw tantrum. Shit, even if they smash a few windows and roll a few cars, the cost is still way less.
Given we've just had mass riots that destroyed a significant part of London's suburbs, and had the threat of spreading to other parts of the country, yeah its a pretty big deal. I agree the system the Police work under is lazy and far too laxed in the face of crime, but if there are 16,000 less officers to deal with riots, that is a pretty big deal.
@TheDarkFrontier Is 16,000 police offers getting cut that big of a deal? Police officers are vastly over-rated. They have bloated pensions and they're often just harassing people or setting up petty crime stings to put thugs into bloated prison and court systems. My car stereo was stolen. All's the police officer did was come fill out a form and say have a nice day. Even if that stereo gets recovered they're not going to put 2 and 2 together and return it lol.

Massive cuts in the public sector - 16,000 police officers are going to be axed.
£9K ceiling limit for University Tuition Fees, as opposed to £3K now.
Privatisation of the NHS, which means no free health care.
Refusal to tax the rich, and making cuts which will affect the poorest of our society.
In short, hes for the rich, and wants to grind the working class beneath his heels.
