Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan Japan 2010

I arrived at Osaka just after 12 noon. Left my bag at the hostel, and decided to go exploring. I wanted to visit Aquarium Kaiyukan because it holds a whale shark in one of their biggest tank which spans several floors. This is also one of the biggest aquarium tanks in the world. Admission fee was 2000 yen, and the start of the aquarium begins at the very top of the building accessible by an escalator or elevator, and you spiral back down. I thought the design and idea of starting at the very top, and walking down to see the whole aquarium was brilliant.

Definitely worth a visit.
