@mega4player its hard to find good shows now adays. 24 and prison break were the best and still are. try watching Nikita. its pretty good. My friend watches Doctor WHO but dont know about that one.

@mega4player I didn't mean to say that you only watch mediocre stuff. I wasn't really directing anything at you personally. I just look for a certain element of uniqueness and authenticity thats to my looking which can make me very picky and opinionated. Two shows I was able to sit through were Rubicon and Detroit 187.

@encdee ehm ... only because i say 24 or Prison Break r my fav tv shows it dosn´t mean i only watch movies where a cool actor kills all the bad guys ... i watch many different kinds of movies and tv shows but i only think these two r the -> best <- of them .

I don´t think i watch typical movies people in my age watch . so don´t say i only like cursory movies , because u don´t know it and its definitly wrong !

@mega4player Tv or movies can be in two broad categories. Ones with actual plots and ones which think for you. The latter is more than 95%.

The very fact that all of these have their "plot" practically occur within a vacuum, where every scene and every bit of dialoge is just another linear incremental step of showing the preliminary hardships of the "good guy", initial success of the bad guy, the tolken plot twist, and the ultimate victory of said "good guy" - makes me feel like a vegetable,

@mega4player The Wire was so thick with plot and character development in a way that was undeniably different than the run of the mill overproduced tv show that it couldnt but be noticed that it was making a point of authenticity.

Now when i go to watch anything else i feel like iam being spoon fed a plot of Gerbers baby mush because i am expected to fit the demographic of a 5 yr old who managed to stay late and watch violent shows on TV.

Im 27 years old damnit. I dont mind thinking...

@mega4player First of I will say that I can sometimes get carried away and exaggerate in the way i express things (...you may have noticed).

But i am highly critical of tv shows and movies because i feel a lot of stuff is ultimately generic and follows what i find to be stagnant and standardized conventions that dont warrant yet another TV show or movie repackaging of the millions that came before it.

As far as my shows I like The Wire. I feel it almost single handedly ruined tv for me...
