This is an episode of The Twilight Zone from years ago with Scott Grimes who played Dr. Archie Morris in ER.

Wikipedia synopsis:

A young photojournalist, Carol, is being pressed to choose between a new job offer and marrying her boyfriend. She meets a boy, Kenny, who, at first, pretends to have been sent by a modeling agency for a shoot. They have such a good time together, but once he realizes that all she's about is the job, he leaves frantically. Carol makes her decision: she's taking the job and dissolving her relationship with her boyfriend.

Suddenly, Kenny starts appearing to her, outside and in her apartment. He becomes so disappointed about her choice to follow her career instead of her relationship. She becomes confused about how he knew where she lived, what happened and why he thinks they can never see each other again. Kenny panics and runs away again.

Carol then sees Kenny the next day in the park and confronts him. Because Kenny wasn't allowed to reveal anything, Carol starts to realize the truth: that he would have been her son if she had followed the other path. He says that he would have been had she just wanted him. She claims she does, but not right now. He says that from now on, because she chose the other path, she may have other children, but she will never have him. The two begin to weep as the boy fades away.

Later, Carol is pacing back and forth on the phone, discussing her new job. She walks past pictures of Kenny and her together. After she hangs up and leaves, the pictures show the same shots but Kenny is missing from all of them.

  • @bettypro It's a sad story dang it, I'm not depressed. Never been depressed. This is just a really sad episode and it tweaks my heartstrings thank you very much

  • @InkeTheEliteMajor got one word for you...CYMBALTA/

  • 9:39 cool a free skate board!

  • @SuperInfinityJordan This episode focuses too much on the opportunities we have lost rather than the changes we can make for the future. In this respect, the classic TZ episodes do a much better job. For example, the episode Walking Distance focuses on keeping our head in the future and not in the past (positive). While the ending of this episode seems to imply that Carol still ended up happily raising children, it leaves the viewer with a sense of loss (negative). Not a big fan of the "new" TZ.

  • That's weird. I thought this was gonna be a remake of the 50's Little Girl Lost.
