The informal sector is a common feature in the urban fabric of developing countries. It is dominated by the lower economic classes of society whose establishments mushroom around the formal establishments of the well-to-do. The Constant Spring Road in Kingston, Jamaica is host to many formal commercial dwellings, and informal commercial dwellings in various stages of mutation.

  • This video was made with much clarity. The intent, to identify these informal spaces in the urban context, is very much clear. I appreciate the use of diagrams in the architectural dialogue.
