The informal sector is a common feature in the urban fabric of developing countries. It is dominated by the lower economic classes of society whose establishments mushroom around the formal establishments of the well-to-do. The Constant Spring Road in Kingston, Jamaica is host to many formal commercial dwellings, and informal commercial dwellings in various stages of mutation.
This video was made with much clarity. The intent, to identify these informal spaces in the urban context, is very much clear. I appreciate the use of diagrams in the architectural dialogue.
