@KeepingLifeReal very well put my friend!! I bodyboard and my buddies surf. one year we were in puerto rico and my friend took my bodyboard and said he was gonna go out and rip cause its easy. he's a great surfer. he had soooo much trouble catching waves and got pounded. he came in and said he would never call me a "sponger" anymore, he realized its tough!

Whats with all the competition
I sponge and love it, I mastered the forward 360.
I cant say anything about surfing yet,becuase iiv never tried it...but hey we spongers and surfers, love to do what we do.. so lets just keep it that way
I could only sponge 4 months a year. wich sucks, I dont have a wetsuit for the winter(NJ). I really want to get sponered or enter some comps.

But bro, you are a surfer.......we are named for the sport which is wave riding......not the flotation device we use. All the arguments over which "sport" is better are ridiculous. We are all riding waves. Hell man, the best "SUrfers I ve ever seen didn't use a a board at all. In the lexicon , the word Surfer has become synonymous with riding a wave while standing on a big piece of fiber glass. Surfing is wave riding...period.

haha, we all ride the same waves. I bodyboard and alot of my friends surf, they cant do anything near what i can do when sponging and i cant do anything like they do...
