VERY NICE ! Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was an awesome singer and not everyone can cover his classical songs. Not everyone can think about covering these songs on guitar. Derek Trucks Band are obviously VERY talented and they know music if they knew about Nusrat in the first place and then covered his song ! This is an awesome piece. By the way, the singer in this particular track is not Nusrat. This is Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Nusrat's nephew, who was trained and taught by Nusrat.

There is a lot of really good music to find . We just have to look off the grid. I heard some stuff on NPR on Sundays. But didn't know who the players were. Some guitar and some key board. amazing to me. I have been searching the Archive's without success.

Thank you very much.. Been looking for this 4 a long time. You should also listen to his rendition of "sahib teri bandi haan"... Nowadays my day isn't complete untill i've listened to one of d two.. :-). Ofcourse i've flac files for both tracks.. Youtube is for when I feel like listening to them on the move,on my mobile phone. @vasdna Derek is a great musician and a very good person too, I'm friends with his brother Duane and I've met Derek several times. not many american guitarist know the raags like he does....

@gorgaphliaz He's one of the most tasteful and knowledgeable players around, not many people can turn a pakistani vocal song into an electric guitar song.
