High level scoreplay. Don't try this at home.
...
The restrictions on this run were as follows: A-Power only, Normal mode only, no hypers allowed. This is a very silly challenge I was put up to by Erppo and Resume, and I spent way too much time on this.
Some notes:
- I intentionally missed some bees so as not to trigger the Ura midbosses, which are pretty much run-enders on their own.
- 1-1 is pretty straightforward, so I kind of messed around during the boss.
- 1-2 has a few challenging spots but is still relatively simple. I didn't manage to find a consistent way to carry the chain from the midboss with these restrictions, so no chain there.
- 1-3 is harder once again. Most parts went fine (the midboss in particular is fairly challenging), though the ending has one of the funniest failures in recent memory.
- 1-4 is maybe a little easier than 1-3 - on a really good run I could full chain it and maybe get the second extend, but I screwed it up this time. The boss is easily the trickiest part of the run up to this point, although it doesn't really excuse ramming her.
- 1-5 is goddamn terrifying and ruined me for a long time - this is my best performance of the stage with these restrictions. I don't really consider any of the hits here particularly bad because I find the stage as a whole so damn difficult. The midbosses, laser rings, final stretch and boss all went really well.
I don't really know why I put so much effort into something so dumb, but it was fun. :V
I love how much better this game looks when you have a reasonably powered ship. Fantastic job Sapz! 乙!

@Nautth Thanks, and now you see why I maintain Bomb style is the most fun way to play the game. The firepower is a bit heavier than this of course, but still nothing like Strong which is basically broken. Lots of fun.
