My name is Stephanie Webb and I played the Kabalevsky Youth Concerto when I was 10, at the Michigan Music Teachers Association Convention. I got the privilege to play there after winning the elementary division of the MMTA Concerto Competition.
I am accompanied by Ellen Elder.

  • hmm, it was slower than I expected but still within reason of the tempo called for. The slower interpretation didn't bother me as much as other under tempo performances of other works. Very nice clear playing and still playful. Its obvious you have the technique to play this faster, nice call on making this 'your own' bravo!

  • @cem1891 hahah yah playing too fast during performances was always a problem of mine when i was younger so i think the accompanist overdid her job of keeping me in my place :) thanks!

  • Wow, you're very musical! I love the way your dynamics ring in the piano. Great job!

  • @shawnataylor11 thanks :) still workin hard at the piano in college!
