Homeless men living in pacific beach, Ca.(San Diego) are interviewed on causes of homelessness, their experience as a homeless person as well as their solutions to homelessness. Very powerful and entertaining as the producer is a formerly homeless person and a survivor whose vision is to bring personal homeless stories to screen.

it's not what you think dude, homeless shelters can only take so much people for so long, sort of like a free hotel or something except it would be pretty hard to get in there
BRAVO to you, my man! Thank you for posting this. I too am a San Diegan. I had a successful career as an Optician, nice cars, never had to worry about money. I became disabled and lost my job, health insurance,EVERYTHING.I did not have one cent to my name and was days from being on the streets with my two sons when FINALY, after waiting three years, I recieved an SSDI check. It's so f*cking backward~in order to qualify for SSI you have to have Dr's medical history, how do you do that with no Ins?
is it really that easy in america to go down the pan the way you did?? surely theres some sort of safety net we have our homeless too in england but nothing prepared me for the sights we saw on skid row in la made ten times worse by the obscene wealth we had just witnessed a few blocks up the road in rodeo drive! San Diego though was wonderful lol
Yes, believe me, it's really that easy. There is no safety net here. I have also seen the unfathomable sight of homeless and obviously mentally ill souls curled up in the fetal position on the golden steps of shops on the obscene Rodeo Drive. And something very sad? I recently found out that a beautiful friend of mine who was a former Playboy Playmate & bit actress was found murdered, her throat slit open & thrown into a trash dumpster. At 39 she couldn't find work and had ended up on the street
