I've been homeless living in a vehicle for 9 years. I never drink or do drugs, pot etc. Even if these guys didn't do any of this they would still be homeless. It's a result of the economic system where nobody is allowed a plot of land to build a small shack or something unless they pay up.Renting is worse as you pay money but you don't get to own a % of the property. These guys must eat only vegetables and drink water, that will help immensely, they are all suffering from nutritional deficiency.

Fucking Tweakerville, know it well,
The basin of the San Diego River has a wooded area filled with bums who are hooked on drugs, mainly meth. People live in the wooded area next to the Scum Diego river, mostly dopers, the river goes for miles.

I don't feel sorry for homeless people like this , especially the one who claims to be living on the street since he was 11, which I actually doubt, because the police would have made sure he be put in a special home. 11 is too young to be living on your own whether on the street or not. One thing that pisses me off is that even if it is true that he has been on his own since he was 11, then by now he should have figured out how to get a job or get some money anyways other than having to beg .

i was homeless for four years and lived with the homeless on purpose. i lived with them and listened to their stories. my heart aches to get them up off the street while jesus believers spit on them!

@kimmarie801 oh yeah sure if only there was enough of those for even half of all homeless men it would be better but nope shelters are mainly given to the 30 percent of the homeless. the women.
getting knocked up is an easy way OUT of the street... afterward the government will pay these women to sit in comfort and never work again...
men dont have that choice.
i
sad world we live in

look! I was homeless off and on for 24 years! I am off the sreet now going on 10 years. I thank God everyday for my place to live. Alot of the problem is rock cocaine more then anything. Sure..speed and drinking are popular too. But I got to tell you..rock cocaine is being organized and distribited to all walks of life. The dealers make money and the homeless get the stuff. Ever seen what rock does to people? I have never in my life ever saw Police officials turn such a blind eye to reality!

it's not what you think dude, homeless shelters can only take so much people for so long, sort of like a free hotel or something except it would be pretty hard to get in there
BRAVO to you, my man! Thank you for posting this. I too am a San Diegan. I had a successful career as an Optician, nice cars, never had to worry about money. I became disabled and lost my job, health insurance,EVERYTHING.I did not have one cent to my name and was days from being on the streets with my two sons when FINALY, after waiting three years, I recieved an SSDI check. It's so f*cking backward~in order to qualify for SSI you have to have Dr's medical history, how do you do that with no Ins?
