BIG HELP You're a life saver!! Dell engineers have made a freaken stupid mistake engineering that button with reverse motion. they expect you to stomp the button with 10K force! to open the RAM Hatch!

What type of memory can it use i want to upgrade mine and i want to know what u suggest? and if possible how can i or what would i have to do to allow it to use Sata instead of IDE is there an adapter cable for that?

the type of ram for this computer is: DDR PC3200. it looks like theres are some adapters to convert IDE to SATA, google it under images and type: ide to sata converter.

Hello MERLONATAJUAN, for what you're saying it sounds like one of the capacitors blew out, i'm not 100% but i'm pretty sure that that's what it's, this is a very common problem on dells so you might need to replace the motherboard.
