pole plant is wrong: they move the arm backwards, instead of moving only the wrist.
their movement seems to make the upper body rotate, as well...

....simple to explain, difficult to make!...
:-D
Nice video!

I Like the racy movements. Christian skis like I want to ski.
But there's a disconnect between the video captions and what the skier is actually doing.
The Vid caption is telling us to use knee angulation to start the turn then hip angulation. But what they actually *do* is "Long-Leg-Short-Leg" with a good projection from a flexed outer-leg. This projection on to an inclined, lengthening leg and body is what I am looking for. The pole plant , arm carriage and movement is great. No prob ther

There is no right or wrong in body movement. There is just a "works for the style I want to ski" or "works against the style I want to ski". In this video, you don't see a single turn where the skier is not in control of what he is doing. That means that extreme vertical movement itself is not wrong as long as it helps or at least doesn't counteract the style you want to ski. That being said, the skiers in this video look odd. :D

@DerDude22 just saying. the movement isnt something you should be criticising or questioning, whatever you were. Ski carving is as you see it on the video above...

How do U justify your statement?

I can't see where there is any movement in his body, except for his arm which he uses to place his poles correctly. His upperbody is constantly faced downhill. This turns are well executed!
-
Its just in your legs, your upperbody is always to the valley!
en you use your arms voor de stick input.

@DerDude22 buy a taboggan or snowboard then. skiing isnt for the feint hearted friend. (not that snowboarding is either).
