What is it with Americans and censoring swear-words?

I mean seriously... what do you think a 6 year old is going to think when they hear that? I'll tell you: Instant, mega-curiosity. Words that they probably wouldn't think twice about if you weren't so fucked up about them, take on a magical gravitas.

True artists don't do it for the $. I know it takes a lot of $ to make a movie so you need it, but if you're going into the business with how much $ it could make rather than how many people will like it, then you're setting yourself up for disaster. Of course big Hollywood studios worry about $ because they're a business but the filmmaker himself is an artist so they should be more concerned about his or her artistic success rather than financial. I've written 40 scripts because I love it.

My God, QT is so fucking full of himself. "Make Reservoir Dogs." Bullshit. It was a decent film, but too overrated IMO. Pulp Fiction was genius, but as far as first films go, "El Mariachi" was waaaaaay better than QT's debut, and so was "Evil Dead", Sam's first film. I do agree though, make a film yourself and promote it. Get it to film festivals and the talent will find you. It's tougher nowadays but like QT said, you're competing with a lotta horrible filmmakers too so it should set you apart.
