@WAKMM true, but he is attempting to evolve past the unspecified winding spiraling darkness as you describe. Which is a circle that eventually leads to consuming of lyrical talents into dark & unnecessary hurtful lyrics to both self & to others. Much like the downward spiral with Velvet Acid Christ, Suicide Commando/etc/etc
He wants to break away from that path & try to perfect the new. That's a crash course, as most groups go the easy route/darkness.

i dunno... a few of the songs on this album are pretty dope.. my fav albums are still empires... praise the fallen... some stuff around that era... the new stuff isnt as pump a lot of times and not as epicly dark and introspective sounding
