That money effect was just stock footage, that i paid for, unfortunately, haha. I occasionally buy istockvideo footage for videos that i make. I think that was the only stock clip in this vid.

I wanted to find a way to turn the money footage into 3d, so i could fly through it, but i'm really a huge noob to after effects.

Do you know if there is a way to pull something like this off? 2d footage into 3d footage?

as for turning 2d into 3d it's a little hard to do... you can fake it though by using a camera and some masks but i'm pretty sure you already did that. my best adivce would be to use patical world or particular because you could then set the particals to be the money and they would be randomly generated plus you could use there built in camera tool to zoom around it. but in order to do this you would need a video clip with only one peice of money animated and an alpha channel
