Attention: according to a youtube viewer (v2vmom), these kids' names are Sam and Esther and are from Uganda, not Somalia. Here is what she said:" This video is pirated from the original. These children have been cared for for four years by Village2VillageProject (dot) org...please see our website. I am the woman in the original video taken on the day we found these desperate kids...please see the whole video by putting Sam and Esther in the Youtube search box."

  • I ask you to think about it this way. What if these were YOUR children? Would you want them misrepresented to raise money for unknown causes in another country? Their sister Jane, who is in the original video is now 12 and has internet access for homework. How would she feel seeing her family used to raise money for Unicef, who has NEVER helped her instead of to provide for her brother and sister? There are many heart-wrenching photos taken IN Somalia of that crisis that are more appropriate.

  • @v2vmom don't get me wrong Mrs. I just come across your comment and your website. I have already let my youtube viewers know that these kids are not somalian... (cf. the description box of the 2 vids that I have uploaded). I know what you want to say, so as I have stated previously, I'll add the name of your organization for people to donate since Uganda is one of the Horn of Africa states... By the end of the night i'A, i'll change the video's description since it has been taken out of context.

  • Sam and Esther are UGANDAN not Somalian. This video is pirated from the original. These children have been cared for for four years by Village2VillageProject (dot) org...please see our website. I am the woman in the original video taken on the day we found these desperate kids...please see the whole video by putting Sam and Esther in the You Tube search box.

  • @v2vmom Hi. I'm very surprised by your comment. I'm not the author of this vid, (xitt2010, owns the credit of it). I thought that it would be awesome if each of us upload this video on youtube or somewhere else in order to make a wake up call and urge people to donate. This vid also exists with french subtitles (cf. my playlist).

However, I'm beyond happy to know that these kids have been taken in charge and are doing fine.

  • @v2vmom I have mixed feelings here. I don't know if i should consider this video as a scam because on youtube, it has been labelled "somalian" and maybe some people have donated after having watched it. The thing is it is still happening there (Horn of Africa), hundred of kids are dying because of starvation, some women have let their children on the roads, etc.

So, if you don't mind, I'll let youtube viewers know that this vid is from you, etc. and leave it as it is. Keep up the good work Mrs.
