Heres my massey harris pony mowing the marsh grass in our garden with a side mounted finger mower. I had the mower blade set too low and when the camber changed the finger mower end dug into the ground so I steered into it to avoid snapping the finger mower which resulted in one of the wheels lifting a bit. Still getting the hang of driving it, operator error...

@geezerbigfoot Having in the past managed to run myself over with my own motorbike, the thought has crossed my mind a few times and I run it with the belts a little slack for some nod at safety. Might get a girobroyeur (topper) for this season as Ive fixed all the hydraulics since, and convert the Pony to full standard class1 3 point linkage. Then the wife can cut the f***ing grass :D

@heartland96a
Thanks, this season I stripped apart the mower to get the blade parallel to the ground, then discovered you can do this without disassembly, but good chance to grease it up inside and free it all off.
It cuts really nice now with no dig ins, the steel skids just ride over the lumps like it was designed, and when it encounters a big object in the middle it just slices it off without struggling.
You live and learn. Experience indeed :-)
