Dominates? right...you cant even dominate ak-47 guys with tanks&apaches and so on, and USA got beaten bad in France AGAINST TROOPS WHO WASN'T ACCEPTED TO THE FRONTLINE AT RUSSIA, if russian front veterans would be at france, you wouldn't never had succeeded in normandy my friend.

The whole purpose of that legion is just to protect french colonies & french interests, as such it isn`t interesting to me since I don`t care about french interests. Also, signing up to get treated like a piece of expendable crap doesn`t seem to bright to me indeed.

@gurlizmorgy , Rangers often go on French Guiana or Djiboutie for training with the FFL most of the time they fail to passe the test's , and american military history isn't what i call "successfully" .

@zombi658 Yea whatever, go to Ranger school or Sapper school then come talk to me. You cant compare a force of about 8,000 men who's primary focus in infantry to an entire army with many different combat arms branches and combat service and support. Brutal training doesn't always make for a better army. The training a U.S. infantry soldier goes through is very very tough. Plus the important difference between U.S. and FFL is that the U.S. constantly learns adapts and changes its fighting style

@ONEINALIFETIME100 The US got involved in Vietnam partly because we were helping the french for years and then the French army couldn't hack it there anymore so we stepped up to honor our commitment and send soldiers to help. Look up the battle of Dien Bien Phu which was the decisive point where France lost in Vietnam and son after the U.S. came in to assist. And no natter what you say the U.S. pulling out of Vietnam was not because we were beaten military, it was because of political pressure.
