I'm glad you caught as much as you could. I did on the 3 cruises I managed to get on her. I have 4 albums on Webshots community of the 3 trips we'd been on her. And yes, these new ships will never compare to the NORWAY.

The Norway only spent only one day in LeHavre on that trip. I was there Sept 10 1996. we arrived after noon and left about 9pm that night. I was told that was the first time the Norway returned to LeHavre since leaving as the France in 1979.
the city had a firework display as the ship left about 9pm. The cruise ended in Southampton the next morning. and the ship went into dry dock for a major refurbish. that is when the sports bar replaced checkers and they moved the Library.

I am glad you enjoyed the video's. I knew when I went on that trip that the Norway was near the end of her life and wanted to capture as much as I could. The new ships don't compare to the Norway.

How many days was the ship at La Havre? Did it leave the night after? Do you remember if they were giving out posters of the norway that day?

I don't remember any posters of the norway given then. We did get to keep the Menu's that had some original art of the france that I framed when I got home.
