Hi, NicolaMonk, yes, I was a holdout for a long time and kept him rear-facing longer than anyone else I know and resisted my husband's wanting to turn him around - finally gave in when his legs were not fitting well and we were on a long car trip. I'm still keeping him in the middle of the back seat although it's much more difficult to get him in and out. I see the straps are slack in this video. Usually he's wearing a coat and it's a bit of a struggle closing the clips - he's very secure!
