  • @KlavierEum I totally agree with, music isnt a show of skills but of course a demonstration of feelings

  • I don't know about the pitch but I'd not heard the book 2 Cm for years. Striking performance. Thanks!

  • fugue at 2:31

  • Many players, especially pianists play the prelude too fast, but Gilbert did play with 'allemande' tempo.

The prelude is kinda 'allemande'. Now we can feel it with the appropriate tempo of Gilbert!

  • @Sashomei According to Wikipedia, A was around 415 hertz in baroque times...

  • @Piano194 it's because harpsichords are tuned down. there's nothing wrong with the recording, nor is there anything wrong with the harpsichord.

  • I like this alot more than the other recordings. They are either too fast or too slow, this is a much better tempo.

  • @ragtimemarkbirnbaum watch?v=6HUxdZLBfyc

  • it has to be 1/4 tone difference

    but here is 1 tone!

In 16-17 century LA (a) has been less than 440 Hz

Than in Classicism LA has been 430 Hz... somewhere...

    Till 2009 = 440Hz

NOW THE SENSATION OF LA = 444 HZ

    :)
