SEXY CARTOONS? - Is it Weird to Be Attracted to Cartoons?

My wife and I got into a decent argument last night over it being weird or not to be attracted to a cartoon. IMO it's perfectly normal like any other attraction by honestly I'd like others opinions. http://www.youtube.com/csandreas It's a very interesting discussion when you dig into it... Kind of like how anyone that isn't a furry thinks furies are weird, it could be the same concept with cartoon attraction...only it's more widely accepted.

Your wife has it wrong. Not pathetic, but simple brain chemistry. What visuals we see trigger certain emotions/feelings/etc. in us, regardless of it being real or artistic. You may as well call it pathetic to become aroused by the moan of a digital woman's voice. But I must admit her disbelief of the GIANT breast that abound in animation. I prefer a bit finesse, style and realism in my toons. ;)

I have so many cartoon crushes it's not even funny.

Right now it's some characters from Homestuck, and ...Eddy and Double D from Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy...

I used to crush on a lot of anime characters, but not so much right now.

I'm really happy that my boyfriend doesn't mind either. I mean, they're just fictional characters.

It is all about exposure that makes things feel and seem "normal". It is certainly not a gender specific thing. The forever alone make nerd trope is old and try to explain that it is not helping to continue using it. Not when women are actually wanting to be more represented fairly in these circles.

As an asexual I find sexual attraction a distant concept either way. I do find those cartoons attractive and I like to look at cartoon and real humans but not in a sexual way. I think depends on how you grew up. We grew up watching sailormoon, cardcaptors, yugio, dragon ball z... Ect ect. It has indeed become the normal for us. Maybe children who rejected or did not grow up like that find the concept alien and strange to them. I bet if they watched a few they would change their mind. Get your w
