How to Root a Nook Color (PC Version)

Now supporting 1.0.0, 1.0.1, and 1.1.0 firmwares.

In this video, I'll show you how to root a Nook Color. This enables your device to become a full blown Android tablet with access to the Android Market. By being able to access the Market, you can download a whole bunch of apps to your device, all of which was not possible before root.

@icecrandor If you've rooted it yourself, rather than use one of the pre-rooted SD cards like n2acards (google it), then you might need to wipe it and restore it back to stock. Here's a video that might help: .youtube.com/watch?v=1B31y_lyH­IA
