Teays valley had venus as our girls number and the first time we saw it in their guys number we were cracking up and screaming our heads off. All show choirs have different dynamics and I would be bored to death if all show choirs did the same type of thing. It is nice to see different things done and different ideas presented. I'm a big supporter of Garfield heights.

As original as this was for most Ohio show choir fans, I'm sure, I think the polka novelty concept was already pretty tired by the time 2008 rolled around.
Also, I dislike when a novelty number becomes an opportunity for a choir to dance sloppily and sing in unison for several minutes. Perhaps I'm just not buying into the spirit of things, but it amounts to a bit of a free pass.

i agree. it's funny but it is sometimes difficult to judge. brownsburg high school in indiana has a really funny show this year but it's so all over the place the judges couldn't possibly judge the choreography at times.
