What would a trip be to Shanghai (or China) without shopping for knock-offs? The Xinyang Fashion Mall is tucked away under the Shanghai Science and Technical Museum in Pudong and filled with souvenirs and goods. Easy to reach by Metro (watch the video on "how to use the metro.")
Clothes, pearls, handbags, watches, tailors, a food court.... It just goes on and on. If you are looking for something "special" just ask. A salesperson will escort you up and down the aisles to a stall owned by a brother, uncle or father and they'll begin hauling goods out of secret compartments. Whether or not you buy (and you WILL buy), it's fun and the salespeople are good natured. Don't miss Xinyang!
