@ThornUvDaath777 Giant anteaters actually can move pretty fast if they want to. I saw one on Animal Planet freaking gallop. And the anteater is only near the bottom of the food chain because it eats mostly insects. There are only a few things in its range that can kill it, like jaguars, pumas, or humans. (Also the death-hug is Wikipedia-confirmed.)

Well, I'll look into it...it just sounds weird, considering Jaguars are apex predators and, last time I checked, they were at the very bottom, seeing as how they don't move very fast, and that the Jaguar is an apex predator, and I have a hard time imagining a 90 to 140 lb animal squeezing a 180 to 250 lb murder machine to death.

@ThornUvDaath777 Yeah, seriously. Look it up. The adults have huge claws that they can use to defend themselves by giving jaguars death-hugs. I swear I'm not making this up.
Oh My goodness, how cute??!!
