  • Very nice.

Outsiders think "Michigan" and only consider Detroit, for they know nothing of the raw beauty of our forests, lakes and streams.

    That's their loss.

For those of you who miss home, it misses you. But remember that Michigan stays in the heart and you'll never lose that no matter where you roam.

  • you guys really would miss michigan. i'm here in my room right now in alpena county. WelshWebb is right, when most people think of us michiganders they think of detroit, or chicago which is near a border. but here up north, it's way more beautiful. i travel alot, and nothing seems more like home as when we return home, and i see the sign that says welcome to hillman, and i know in about 10 minutes i'll be home. anyone would miss it here, and they're crazy if they dont. once a michigander, always

  • I'm moving to indiana for school in a few weeks, but I can't imagine not coming back to Michigan when I'm done. Not a single part of me wants to raise a family away from the great lakes and the natural beauty of the state. From Luna Pier to the Porcupine Mountains Michigan is home.

  • I have lived alot of places in my life and have met alot of people. Its funny to me that everyone calls where they live home, but if your from MIchigan and live somewhere else, then Michigan is always home. The people of Michigan are some of the nations friendliest.. I always kick myself for moving out even with this economy.. Iwill always call Michigan my home.. I MISS HOME!!

  • I was born in Spain, live in Spain, and lived in Michigan for year and half. I went to lots of places Up North. 12 Years since I left Michigan, though I've been on holidays every other year up to 2007, when the economical recession started in Spain. I miss Michigan every single day. That's my home, where my heart is, and if I don't get the chance to move to Michigan I'll die with no heart. It's not were you are from, it's where you feel from ...

  • I was born in Michigan and was raised pretty much my whole life there my entire family was born there and curenntly I live in Georgia right now bc my parents moved down here but I hate georgia and the south for that matter and my heart belongs in Michigan and I miss it so much but thankfully I will probably be moving back up there in June of this year

  • I moved here in 2006 and haven't left since but considered how I felt when visiting New York and even more so, Arizona I can understand how you must feel. Standing in the desert I just wanted to be home.

  • @WelshWebb Not to mention our small towns and small cities that feel like small towns. I've been living in Ann Arbor or Ypsi Township for the past six years. It's a very safe place to live. I will probably raise a family in a place like Hamburg.

  • I moved from Bloomfield hills Michigan to Baton Rouge... it is unbelievable how much I miss Michigan! When I was living there I always wanted to move and now that I moved I wish I could go back to Michigan everyday
