Join filmmaker Soso R. Whaley as she documents the National Oval Track Racing Association Nationals in Marlton, NJ. The Garden State Sighthound Association plays host to the amateur oval track racing Nationals which took place on the East Coast in October of 2006. NOTRA recognizes 14 different sigthound breeds from Italian Greyhounds to Irish Wolfhounds as eligible to race. Not only does Ms. Whaley document the races but her Scottish Deerhound, Javelin, also participates in the action. Javelin won the Large Gazehound Racing Association (LGRA) Straight Races the day before... can he repeat the victory on the oval track??? Hey! Cool! but deerhounds were bred to pursue game up through the mountains - no other breed could pursue their quarry through deep heather, bad weather and across the bonnie glens like we deerhounds!
