2005-07 models
SIDE IMPACT TEST WITH STANDARD SIDE AIRBAGS

OVERALL EVALUATION: Poor
Injury measures Head protection Structure/safety cage
Head/neck Torso Pelvis/leg
Driver Poor Acceptable Poor Poor Acceptable
Rear passenger Good Good Good Acceptable

Important: Side impact crash test ratings can be compared across vehicle type and weight categories.
Test details:

The Suzuki Aerio was introduced for the 2002 model year. Front seat-mounted side torso airbags became standard beginning with 2005 models (they were unavailable in 2004 and earlier models).
Injury measures:

Driver — Measures taken from the dummy indicate that serious skull fracture and/or brain injuries plus a fracture of the pelvis would be likely in a crash of this severity. Rib fractures and/or internal organ injuries also would be possible.

Rear passenger — Measures taken from the dummy indicate a low risk of any significant injuries in a crash of this severity.
Head protection:

Driver — The dummy's head was hit by the intruding barrier, producing high head injury measures.

Rear passenger — The dummy's head was hit by the pillar behind the rear passenger door. This pillar is required by federal standard to provide some protection for occupants' heads.

  • @firedemon101 i know that my mom has 1 from the 2002 and idk how are the side results

  • question, why does the car has an airbag in the area of the left side of the dummy's torso, but, instead of putting that airbag in there, why not in the window?????

  • lol yea lets see you would have to change the rear door, bumper, and even the rear doors seeing that the car has no ass at all ... better you just write the car off lol

  • lol yea it is but only problem is if you get hit in the bck lol....

  • whats wrong with the SX4? My neighbour has a SX4 and Swift and they look really nice
