Mass Effect Add-On, Pinnacle Station Review

Finally got around to finishing the recording I needed for this! My easycap had been acting up for a couple days and it wouldn't record anything but I finally got it working again and grabbed the last bit of video I needed. Also, I cut out the sound from the video completely (as you could probably tell) because the audio quality was still very low (I'm sure it's a hardware issue and I know what needs to be done to fix it, just a matter of doing) and was distracting from the narration. So, I cropped it out.

This is Pinacle Station, it was release around the 27th of August I believe and I grabbed it pretty much day of and have been playing it since. Really enjoyed it, if you play Mass Effect then you should go grab this. I think it was a much better shot at add-on content over Bringing Down the Sky so it was definitely worth the $5 investment for me.

Unfortunately I have a feeling this will be the last thing we see come out for Mass Effect on the consoles and will just have to wait for Mass Effect 2 to come out so that we can play that to death as well, can't wait!

Does it make any changes to the story in mass effect 2?

@P1lotBoy No, Pinnacle Station has no effect on the story in ME2. I haven't even seen it mentioned in the game codex or anything. The other DLC, Bringing Down the Sky does have an effect that transfers into ME2 though.

@soopsoop111 It's a little thing involving some of the news stories you can hear about in ME2. If you save the hostages it will mention how you did (if you let Balak live or die). If you didn't save them or didn't play BDtS at all then it just says they all died. It's a little thing but it was at least neat to know the story wasn't just limited to the DLC.

This extention is like the game itself, well designed and enjoyable but just has those few design flaws that inable it from its true potential.

Mass Effect 2 is a weird thing for me. I finished it last night and I have more issues with it then I did with Mass Effect 1, but I enjoyed it just as much if not more! So strange, kinda pissed by my ending though. I survived, but some people I wanted to survive didn't (only 3 I really cared about) so it annoyed me.
