I really enjoy this series. I have dreams of continuing with my science education but I love art and manga. So when I found the Manga Guide to Biochem and the Manga Guide to the Universe I was in love. :3. I now own both and hope to own more soon.

And when I say other learning from other material; I mean, not necessarily material related to the topic or contents of the course. In fact, most of that other material must be unrelated. Examples of persons utilizing unrelated material are: Newton, da Vinci, Einstein, Schopenhauer.

No doubt; instruction should be re-creative and interactive. Also, the textbook must be used as reference only, while learning from other material; films, videos, games, etc. Of course, one needs an open-mind, if not, retention will only be very sporadic. Direct learning is good, but circumstantial learning is the key to creative endeavours.
